This guide helps you install the Systam Rooms application on a door display when using your own device or after maintenance.
When do you need this guide?
If you order a door display directly from Systam, it usually comes pre-installed. In that case, you can skip this guide.
You need these instructions if:
- you are using your own door display
- the device has been serviced
- you need to reinstall the application
Downloading the application
You can primarily download the Systam Rooms application from the web service. If you do not have access, ask your contact person or our support team: support@systam.fi.
Transferring the application to the device
Once you have the .apk file, transfer it to the device using one of the methods below.
Option 1: Using a USB drive
- Save the .apk file to a USB drive.
- Connect the USB drive to the USB port on the back of the device (either port works).
- Press the round power button on the back of the device.
- Immediately press the volume down button.
- Enter the device PIN code (default: 1234).
- Select Storage → External harddrive.
- Select the .apk file and install it.
Option 2: Using a browser
- Press the round power button on the back of the device.
- Immediately press the volume down button.
- Enter the device PIN code (default: 1234).
- Select Apps → Chromium.
- Go to apk.systam.io.
- Download the .apk file and install it.
Setting the default application
After installing the Systam Rooms application, make sure it is set as the default app.
- Open the device settings.
- Go to Signage display → Source settings.
- Select Custom app.
- Choose Select app → Systam Rooms.
- Check that device time zone is correct.
- Disable navigation bar from Signage display - General settings.
All set! Your door display is now ready and showing the correct information.
