Required network access for Systam Rooms device

Modified on Thu, 5 Mar at 1:28 PM

For Systam Rooms devices to function correctly, certain network connections must be allowed on the network where the device is installed.

These connections enable the device to communicate with the Systam cloud services, keep the system clock synchronized, and receive real-time updates.

Domain:
*.systam.io

The device communicates with Systam cloud services through this domain. These services are used for:

  • Device connectivity

  • Configuration updates

  • System management

Allow HTTPS traffic (TCP port 443) to this domain.

Time synchronization

Service:
time.android.com
Protocol / Port:
NTP (UDP port 123)

The device uses this service to synchronize its internal clock with a reliable time source.

Accurate time is required for secure communication and correct system operation.

Data privacy:
No personal or customer data is transmitted during time synchronization.

Real-time device updates

Service:
ws-eu.pusher.com

Systam Rooms devices use the Pusher service to receive real-time updates from the Systam platform.

This is used for example for:

  • Device status updates

  • Software version notifications

  • Other system events

Data privacy:
No personal or customer data is transmitted through the Pusher service.

Summary

To ensure reliable operation, Systam Rooms devices require access to a small number of external services. If your organization uses a firewall or restricted network environment, make sure the domains and ports listed above are allowed for outbound connections.
