In an emergency, every second counts. Systam Studio's Emergency alert feature sends the same alert by text message and email to every recipient with one click — no hunting for phone numbers or writing a message in the middle of a crisis.
Set up your message templates in advance
It's worth preparing the alert content before you actually need it. Go to Settings → Notifications → Emergency alert. There you can edit the default text message and email templates. The text message allows up to 160 characters, and the email message can be formatted more freely in the editor. Both templates load automatically when you trigger an alert, but you can still edit them right before sending.
Sending an alert
When the situation calls for quick action:
- Click Emergency alert in the top-right corner of Studio.
- Check the text message and email fields, and edit them if needed.
- Choose a workspace under Select the workspace: Current workspace only sends the alert to this workspace only, while All linked workspaces sends it to every linked workspace (if multitenancy is enabled).
- Choose recipients under Select recipients: Hosts with signed-in visitors reaches only hosts who currently have a signed-in visitor, while All hosts reaches every host.
- Leave Include signed-in visitors checked if you also want currently signed-in visitors to receive the message.
- Click Send.
Important: The message goes out immediately to the selected recipients and can't be recalled. Double-check the content, workspace, and recipients before you click Send.
That's it — when an emergency happens, your message reaches the right people in seconds.
