How to insert or replace the visitor badge printer roll

This guide shows you how to insert or replace the badge printer roll, reset the badge counter, and get notified when badges are running low.


Inserting or replacing a roll

  2. If the printer is connected to a self-service kiosk, the counter must be reset to ensure the roll status is accurate. 


Resetting the badge counter

  1. Double-tap the logo in the top center of the kiosk. This opens the maintenance panel view.
  2. In this view, you can see the badge counter for the connected printer. 
  3. Press the Reset counter button.


Setting up notifications

Take the stress away by setting up notifications when printer rolls are running low. Notifications are sent at 20% and 10% capacity, and with each new sign-in after depletion. To edit the receiver of the notifications, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Systam Studio at app.systam.io
  2. Select Settings from the left side navigation.
  3. Select Notifications from the opening menu.
  4. Scroll down to Printer notifications and select who will be notified when badges run low.
