How to configure how users search for hosts

Modified on Tue, 8 Apr at 11:36 AM

This guide walks you through how to manage the settings that control how visitors can search for a host at the self-service kiosk—especially when they haven't been preregistered.

Where to find the settings:

  1. Go to https://app.systam.io

  2. Click Settings

  3. Select Guest settings

  4. You’ll now see the section called Kiosk host search settings

Kiosk host search settings

Here, you can define how host names appear when a visitor searches at the kiosk without being preregistered.

Partial name

This is the default setting. You can choose how many characters a visitor needs to type before matching host names are shown.

Open search

With this setting, all host names are available. Once the visitor starts typing, matching names will automatically appear.

Full name required

This option ensures that host names will only appear once the visitor types the full name into the search field.

And that’s it! Now your kiosk host search works just the way you want it.
